Bed & Breakfast

Introduction

We offer two ensuite bedrooms on the first floor of our old stone built, Cornish farm house. The facilities are not suitable for the disabled. Please read the following statement of our provision and contact us personally if anything is unclear.

Pre-Arrival

  • We have a website that gives you details of the accommodation and facilities that we offer. (detail below).
  • The main train station is Liskeard, 8 miles from the farm.
  • There is no public transport available to the farm.
  • There is a good equipment hire company in St Austell. Details are on the website accessibility page.
  • Details of directions to the farm can be found on the website or in the brochure.

Arrival & Car Parking Facilities

  • There is plenty of parking space available immediately outside the farmhouse.
  • Assistance with luggage is offered to all guests.
  • The front door is accessed from the car via a concrete area into the guest sitting room and dining area, through a small front porch.
  • There is adequate lighting outside the farmhouse.

Main Entrance & Reception

  • The front door opens into a small porch which opens into the guest sitting room and dining area. The floors are level except for the door thresholds.
  • Guests are taken to their rooms and offered refreshment in the sitting room.
  • Whilst taking their refreshment the facilities are explained.

Public Areas - General (Internal)

  • Guest sitting area has a Cornish slate floor and rugs.
  • Dining area is carpeted with short pile carpet.
  • Downstairs corridors are slate floor.
  • Stairs and upstairs landing are carpeted.

Public Areas - WC

  • Guest bedrooms are ensuite. There is no downstairs toilet.
  • The swimming pool has a toilet.

Restaurant / Dining Room, Bar & Lounges, Take Away & Cafe

  • Breakfast is served in the dining area at a time agreed between the guests and the proprietors.
  • Furniture is free standing.
  • There is no piped music used in the farmhouse.
  • There is a no-smoking policy throughout the farmhouse.
  • Vegetarian and specialised diets can be catered for on request.

Leisure Facilities

  • We have an indoor heated swimming pool available for our B&B and holiday cottage guests only. There is also a baby pool and a spa bath available in the same building

Outdoor Facilities

  • Large play area with trampoline, climbing frame and wendy house.
  • Extensive lawned area for ball games etc.
  • Garden furniture placed in quiet areas in the garden.

Conference & Meeting Rooms, Banqueting, Clubs, Entertainment

Bedrooms

  • The two bedrooms are on the first floor. Accessable via a staircase of 14 steps, 6ins high, 9.5ins deep and 33ins wide. The Spring room has a small step up at it's entrance.
  • The doors are lockable and guests have their own keys for the duration of their stay.
  • Both rooms have remote control colour televisions and radio/clock alarms.
  • A bell is provided on the central landing for night time emergencies.
  • There are instructions in both bedrooms for action in case of fire.
  • The bedroom floors are carpeted and the bathrooms are high quality nonslip vynal.
  • Tea making facilities are available in both rooms. Also bottled water is provided.
  • All bedding is man made fibre.
  • The Lavender Room has a double bed.
  • The Spring Room has a zip-link for king size or twin.
  • Both rooms are very well lit, with overhead and bedside lighting.
  • Both rooms have small chiller units.

Grounds and Gardens

  • Extensive gardens with large lawn areas for games and exclusive areas for quiet moments.

Additional Information

  • Guests can watch the farm activities and walk on the land owned by the proprietors, subject to permission at the time.
