Bramble Byre & Dairy Dell

Introduction

We have three self catering cottages, all converted from old Cornish stone farm buildings. All three have two bedrooms sleeping four or five people. katie's Cottage has an accessibility rating of M1 and Bramble Byre and Dairy Dell have accessibility ratings of M3a.
Please read the following statement of our provision and contact us personally if anything is unclear.

Pre-Arrival

  • We have a website that gives you details of the accommodation and facilities that we offer. (detail below).
  • The main train station is Liskeard, 8 miles from the farm.
  • There is no public transport available to the farm, although there are several local taxis, the nearest at Pelynt 2 miles away.
  • The nearest shops are at Pelynt, 2 miles away. Access is good at the Spa mini supermarket.
  • There are a large variety of restaurants with good accessibility in the local area.
  • There is a good equipment hire company in St Austell. Details are on the website accessibility page.

Arrival & Car Parking Facilities

  • There is plenty of parking space outside each of the cottages, on a tarmac driveway. The area is level making the unloading of wheelchairs and luggage, easy.
  • There is adequate lighting outside the cottages.

  • The entrance doors into the cottages are completely level.
  • The doors are 33.5ins wide.
  • The entrance porches are slate floored.
  • There are electric points for easy charging of wheelchair battery packs.

Public Areas - General (Internal)

  • The sitting room/ kitchen areas are level and have plenty of space.
  • The furniture is free standing.
  • The floors are carpeted in short pile carpet.
  • Television, DVD and video players and radios.
  • Pay phones in each cottage.

  • Garden furniture placed in quiet areas in the garden.
  • Walks around certain areas of the farm.

  • Bramble Byre has two en-suite bedrooms.
  • One twin bedded room.
  • One king size bedded room.
  • Dairy Dell has two en-suite bedrooms.

  • Free standing long mirrors.

  • The twin rooms have en-suites with level floored shower areas.

  • The king and double rooms have en-suites with large bath, 175cm x 66cm. Height for side entry 55cm.
  • Level floored shower areas with wall fixed shower seats.
  • Large wheel under wash hand basins.
  • Raised toilets for easy access from wheelchairs.
  • Ceiling tracked hoist is available for use over the bath and shower.
  • All necessary hand rails are fitted.
  • The floors are special non slip surface.

Self-Catering Kitchen

  • The fitted kitchens are well equipped. Conventional oven and combination microwaves. Fridge and freezer. Washing/drying machines. Dishwashing machines. An electric hob is available for use on the dining table on request.

Grounds and Gardens

  • Extensive gardens with large lawn areas for games and exclusive areas for quiet moments.

  • Guests can watch the farm activities and walk on the land owned by the proprietors, subject to permission at the time.
