On arrival there are scones and cream and they are absolutely lovely. The cottages are nice and clean and very spacious. Alison and nick are just the hostess with the mostest and will do anything to accommodate your needs!

Swimming pool is also very clean and I could of stayed in the hot tub/Jacuzzi all day!

Although the cottage is on a farm you are never far away from attractions, so after a busy day it is the best feeling to return to a relaxing place.

Will defiantly return.

What a Wonderful Place

We had a fantastic stay at Bocaddon Farm. Nick and Alison were perfect hosts and the cottage was comfortable, well equipped, clean and the view from the back was breathtaking. Beautiful indoor swimming pool with a babies pool was perfect. Can’t recommend this place enough!

Perfect Stay in the Countryside

Stayed in the Dairy Dell Cottage for 7 nights, with our 5 yr old & 2 yr old. Welcomed with a cream tea & bottle of wine. The cottage was clean & had everything we needed (inc BBQ). Pool was warm, clean & the boys enjoyed the pool toys as well as all the outside play equipment. Good base for exploring the area. Would stay again.

Lovely Family Break

Just returned from a wonderful stay in Bramble Byre. Being equipped for a disabled person it is totally wheelchair friendly, just had to hire a hoist which can be arranged for you. These cottages are in a very peaceful and quiet setting and when the sun shines it is heaven. They are well equipped with everything you would need to make it a home from home holiday. However the cherry on the cake would be an electric adjustable bed but still we had a great time. Would recommend this property to anyone with specific needs.

Peace and Quiet

Just got back,to,rainy chilly Derbyshire after a fortnight’s bliss at Bocaddon. The Meiklems are wonderful hosts and the house, self-catering cottages and grounds are all beautifully maintained and cared for.

Katie’s Cottage was perfect as we had our elderly mother with us for some of the time and she was very comfortable in the room downstairs with its fully equipped disabled access loo and wet room close at hand.
The cottage was just as described in the literature and on the Website; the addition of a bottle of cool white wine and a proper Cornish cream tea in the fridge was an unexpected pleasant surprise after a long old drive down.

We were in Cornwall for a family wedding and the day after the event, our newly weds had asked if we would host a bbq for all their friends whom they’d not been able to see properly on D-day in the busy-ness of the ceremony, wedding breakfast etc.

Not only did Alison positively encourage such a mad enterprise, but she also lent us the Meiklem family’s own gas barbecue as we were catering for about 50 to 60 people; a great time was had by all with the only mishap being the demise of an inflatable dolphin which could not withstand the combined onslaught of several very enthusiastic “boys” enjoying the excellent pool. 🙂
For anyone wanting a real break with some insight into a working farm but also with excellent facilities whether self-catering or in the BnB (some of our wedding guests stayed in the big house itself), Bocaddon is the place to stay. For self-catering meat-eaters I really do recommend the Bocaddon farm veal, it is absolutely delicious and comes from livestock reared under the very highest welfare standards, not a crate in sight. Same comments apply to the eggs – look out for the ones with the pale blue shells, not only pretty but good and tasty too.

Katie’s Cottage

What a welcome bottle of wine and cream tea and it just got better and better. The Meiklems are wonderful hosts and thanks for letting me swim at 8.30am every day – would highly recommend thanks again

Fantastic Place to Stay

Down a petite country lane lanes the peaceful grounds of the Bocaddon Farm. This is a hidden gem is a short drive from Looe and Polperro and is in a central location to access all parts of Cornwall. We stayed in Katie’s Cottage with my nan(disabled) little boy(13 months) and partner. Must say the facility’s we very clean!! And the downstairs were very accessible for my Nan. We all had a lovely time and couldn’t wait to get back to the cottages and on a few days my Nan choosing to even stay in. The cream tea and wine was a nice surprise after a long drive. Hosts were very kind and welcoming and available when ever needed . Thanks for the sugar. Pool was lovely although my boy preferred the luxury of the Jacuzzi which of course i didn’t mind either! Gardens and grounds were kept to a lovely clean state. 🙂 eggs are recommended ! Gutted i couldn’t try the veal tho 🙁 . Weather wasn’t on our side but no reflection on Bocaddon at all!! Would recommend this location to anyone looking for a peaceful holiday as it is ideal! Only observations but not major are :- stair gate at bottom as well as top for the younger ones as wouldn’t like them getting up there we had to use the soda which did the job. Rubber Bath mat or grips as pretty slippery and for those in wheelchairs a level path to pool so they can view the wonderful gardens. But i would like to say these are little observations and nothing major 😉 and did not effect our stay and would like to come back 😉 if you will have us that is :-s thanks 5* holiday.. X

Hidden Gem

We are at bocaddon holiday cottages at the moment, July, 2014. All I can say is…what a find! We are staying in dairy dell a 2 bed roomed cottage. The cottage is very well equipped with dishwasher, washer dryer, iron, vacuum etc if you need it. Furnishings are real cottage style floral sheets etc which may not be to your taste but carry on the traditional theme. Everything is well presented and clean. It was great to arrive to some scones with clotted cream and jam, fresh milk and even a bottle of wine chilling in the fridge 🙂 the owners were very welcoming but not over intrusive. The grounds of the farm are excellent especially for young families with a play equipment, a large trampoline and last but not least the brilliant pool area, which is welcome after a day out exploring the area.

There are loungers around the pool area, and my only minor suggestion would be to have some in the gardens of each cottage…but that is being extremely picky!

All in all a fantastic self catering holiday and highly recommended.

Cozy Cornwall cottage

We stayed here for a week in May. We stayed in Katie’s cottage which was well equipped and spotlessly clean. Settee and chairs could perhaps do with updating but that aside we were very comfortable. The grounds are fantastic and the children spent many hours on the huge trampoline (no net so not great for really little ones) and tree swing. The pool was open 10am-6pm, lovely and clean.

Arriving to scones, clotted cream, jam and fresh milk was a lovely touch.

There isn’t anything within walking distance but Looe and Polperro are only 7 miles away.

We had breakfast in the farmhouse one day which was delicious, cost £30 for 2 adults and 2 children.

We would definitely recommend this venue, especially as it is exceptional value.

Fantastic for kids
